Old Westbury Gardens
Curious how we picked our the location for our gorgeous Spring 2011 Lookbook? Our Art Buyer Alex shares the story.
We took a location scouting trip out to Old Westbury Gardens in Long Island, looking for an area with huge boxwoods and a garden area to fit the creative inspiration of the shoot. We walked through the property and turned the corner around the rose garden and found the most amazing spot that you see on the cover. It looked like it was straight out of Alice in Wonderland……a gorgeous path as far as the eye could see, covered in leaves, dappled in sunlight and shadows cast by the trees arching overhead. It was unbelievably beautiful! We ended up shooting there almost the entire day!

Ann Taylor announces Katie Holmes as the face of Ann Taylor’s Spring 2011 advertising campaign that will debut in March magazines. Shot by world-renowned fashion photographer Tom Munro, the Spring 2011 advertising campaign captures the new Spring collection – a fresh, feminine take on American sportswear. The ads feature Katie Holmes modeling iconic Ann Taylor pieces at a beautiful home in Los Angeles.

Last night Ann Taylor previewed its Spring 2011 Collection at the Gramercy Park Hotel Rooftop in New York City. A fresh take on American sportswear by creative director Lisa Axelson, the collection includes comfortably, luxurious neutral-toned jackets that are perfect for layering, knits juxtaposing feminine minimalism and masculine utility, bright & modern accessories and chic cocktail dresses in light spring hues. Fashion DJ duo Harley and Cassie spun throughout the evening and indie pop darlings Au Revoir Simone performed a set to a crowd that included editors, bloggers, socialites and celebrities Elizabeth Banks, Katrina Bowden and Olivia Palmero.
