Meet Eddie Borgo
The Eddie Borgo Collection is a study in traditions; American Costume Jewelry, the history of Rock and Roll, and the heritage of New York City. Eddie Borgo brings new energy and a modern point of view to these established themes, fusing high end and street in every piece he creates. Eddie studied Art Foundation at Virginia Commonwealth University and Costume Theory at The Art Institute of Atlanta. In 1998, he moved to New York City to continue his studies at Hunter College. While attending school, he worked at Barneys New York, and in the visual department at Donna Karan. Starting in 2002, Eddie Borgo began to create one-of-a-kind pieces for stylists such as Tabitha Simmons, Alex White and Patti Wilson. In the summer of 2008, Eddie was asked to create the jewelry for Phillip Lim’s SS09 show at which time he launched his namesake collection. The Eddie Borgo collection debuted with SS09 at Barneys New York, Colette, Liberty of London and Joyce in Hong Kong. Eddie Borgo has collaborated with designers such as Marchesa, Proenza Schouler, Jen Kao, Jason Wu and Joseph Altuzarra. The Eddie Borgo collection is currently in its Fifth season. Eddie Borgo is developed, created and produced in the United States of America.
