Katie Holmes for Ann Taylor
Ann Taylor announces Katie Holmes as the face of Ann Taylor’s Spring 2011 advertising campaign that will debut in March magazines. Shot by world-renowned fashion photographer Tom Munro, the Spring 2011 advertising campaign captures the new Spring collection – a fresh, feminine take on American sportswear. The ads feature Katie Holmes modeling iconic Ann Taylor pieces at a beautiful home in Los Angeles.
“We are thrilled to have Katie as the face of Ann Taylor. Katie personifies the Ann Taylor brand – smart, talented, incredibly chic, and living a full life with beauty and grace. We admire and respect Katie for her intellect, kindness and enduring personal style,” said Christine Beauchamp, President of Ann Taylor Stores.
“I’ve been a fan of Ann Taylor since I was a young girl. I grew up loving the clothes…and am really excited to be the face of Ann Taylor for the Spring season. I am thrilled to be part of a brand I believe in,” said Holmes.

Washington D.C.
The following is a guest post from Andrea Rodgers of popular society and style blog Ask Miss A.
Kay Krill, President and CEO of Ann Taylor Stores Corporation and Christine Beauchamp, President of Ann Taylor Stores were in Washington, D.C. this week to take part in the Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit, which brought together the most prominent women leaders in business, philanthropy, government, education, and the arts. While in the nation’s capital, Kay and Christine hosted an event in partnership with DC Magazine to celebrate the new Ann Taylor at their store downtown at 600 13th Street, NW.Ann Taylor invited local college students to come meet its leadership team, learn more about their corporation, and take advantage of special savings at the event. Many of the students were shopping for interview attire, which brought back memories of shopping at Ann Taylor for my own interview suits back in 1993! Back then, I had no clue what I wanted to do with my life. But really, how could I have known what I wanted to do? The internet was in its infancy back then, and social media and blogging didn’t exist. It’s amazing how business attire has changed since the early 1990’s.
I enjoyed meeting Christine Beauchamp who spoke to the crowd about the new Ann Taylor prior a talk by Ann’s Style Director Kristin Rawson about hot fall trends.

Attendees enjoyed hors d’ouevres and refreshments, and a special 20% discount, which I used on the purchase of a gorgeous new jacket. I am a big fan of vintage-inspired little lady suit chic. I adore this jacket. It can be worn with a little black dress or a pencil skirt, but is just as cute with a black cropped pant, or skinny jean. I am a big fan of statement necklaces, and love Ann Taylor’s new jewelry designs. I was thrilled that the event gift bag included one of the many beautiful bracelets in the Ann Taylor jewelry collection. I really appreciate Andrew Taylor, Director of Public Relations for Ann Taylor inviting me to the event. The photo on the left is one of myself, Kristin Rawson and Andrew Taylor. Andrew and I first connected last spring in New York to talk about the Ann Taylor blog, and I have to say I love what the brand has done with the blog, especially the philanthropy posts they have been writing.

Fashion’s Night Out @ Ann Taylor
We celebrated Vogue’s annual global shopping event Fashion’s Night Out last Friday September 10th with an enormous party at our Madison Avenue Flagship store. We hosted a “See Now, Wear Now” fashion show featuring the real women of Ann Taylor. Our Director Of Public Relations acted as master of ceremonies as our associates strutted their stuff wearing our new fall collection.
Then our President Christine Beauchamp took to the runway to introduce chic singer-songwriter Vanessa Carlton. We swooned as she played old favorite (who doesn’t love her smash 1000 Miles?) as well as new material from her soon to be released new album! Prosecco and passed hors d’oeuvres were served throughout the evening. We couldn’t get enough of the rosemary grilled cheese sandwiches though the mini-cheese burger sliders were a close second. After Vanessa performed we got our groove on with hip music from the dynamic DJ girl duo “The Two Mandys.” Check out our gallery of photos, including runway shots, from our party here. -
