The campy, giddy delights of the 1978 musical Grease is returning to the Hollywood Bowl. Featuring subtitled songs for the audience’s group-karaoke pleasure, the sing-a-long is hosted by Didi Conn, also known as Frenchy. The proceedings include a pre-show parade of audience members in ’50s attire, and maybe even appearances by cast members (not including Kenickie, may Jeff Conaway rest in peace). The Grease Sing-A-Long is a chance to publicly belt out the film’s soundtrack with a crowd of like-minded fans, many of whom, if the 2010 event is any indication, definitely dress up for the occasion.
The Grease Sing-A-Long is on Friday, June 24th from 8:30pm to 10:30pm at the Hollywood Bowl. Check out Flavorpill for more information on this event and all the other cultural happenings in your city.
