3 Ways To Wear: A Pleated Skirt

Pick up any current fashion glossy, and you’re bound to find a pleated skirt or two… if not a whole section of them. While they’re definitely a hot trend for spring, the less adventurous should know know that pleats are a wardrobe staple that will truly never go out of style.

As part of our #AT3Ways series, we’re showing you how to work a pleat into three very different looks for your busy life. We decided to focus on our Kaleidoscope Skirt – the sprinkling of dots sets it apart from other skirts like it.

1. Easy-Going: Exploring a new city? Collecting treasures at a weekend flea market? A pleated skirt is the perfect base for an effortless, comfortable look. Finish off the look with an adorably fashion forward pom pom scarf and a patent belt.

2. Everyday: Yes, you can take your pleats to work — even if you work somewhere conservative. Add instant sophistication with a blazer and a structured satchel.

3. Elegant: Have a date? Pleats are super-flirty — build on that by adding a flowy top in a springtime color. Cutout peeptoes are quite possibly the most coquettish shoes we can think of, so wear some of those, too.

Do you have one piece you’re great at styling several different ways? Share it with us in the comments or on social media using #AT3Ways.

Hi, what about a midi floral big pleat skirt such as the one attached? I bought it for the rich fabric and the unique pattern but not sure what to pair it with……

Hi there! We’d pair this cute skirt with a white or cream tee or tank and maybe a leather moto jacket to toughen it up a bit. Have fun!
